This week our Classical Californian is Jeremy Cohen, violinist, composer, arranger, and founder of Quartet San Francisco – a group that won an International Tango Competition hosted by the Argentine Consulate, and has been nominated in the Grammy awards for three of their albums. He’s got selections by a young San Francisco composer named Vonn Vanier, and Italian composer and cellist Giovanni Sollima, as well as works performed by his own ensemble, expanding the definition of chamber music with rhythmic fun and flair.
