We know the last few weeks have been stressful for everyone in Southern California. We’ve worked hard to keep the music playing, when we all needed it the most. In times of crisis, music serves as a beacon of hope, a source of comfort, an escape, and a bridge to community. KUSC stands with our community and will be here as we heal and rebuild.

KUSC is a donor-funded public radio station. We rely on donations from listeners to stay on the air. We made the decision to postpone our Winter Membership drive, because it was what was best for our community. In a few days we will have a very short Membership Drive. These drives are vital to our survival, and we know we can count on your continued support.

Typically, our fundraising campaigns last 5 days or more, this time we will only fundraise for 3 days. Our goal is to raise $400,000 in those 3 short days, starting Monday, March 3. To kick things off, the Richard and Norma Camp Fund are offering a $40,000 donor challenge. We must receive 1,200 contributions before Monday night at 6PM to earn the challenge. Participating in this pre-drive challenge is key to the success of this shorter campaign.

Plus, when you contribute during this drive, you’ll have the chance to do twice the good. For the first time, we’re offering a unique alternative to a thank-you gift. When you support KUSC at a level of $10 per month, you can choose to send 40 meals to local individuals and families affected by the recent fires. We’re partnering with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to aid in the ongoing recovery efforts.
