Etienne Gara
Our Classical Californian this week is violinist Etienne Gara, who is the founder and Artistic Director of the L.A.-based self-conducted chamber orchestra called Delirium Musicum. He's Artist-in-Residence at the Soraya (at CSU Northridge) as well as the USC Brain & Creativity Institute. His selections include some some of his favorite musical creators as well as personal mentors - ranging from the world of opera, popular 'chansons,' the Baroque through a modern lens, to a daring electronic arrangement by his friends in the Attacca Quartet.
