This week our Classical Californian is violinist Daniel Hope, who's the Music Director and Concertmaster of the San Francisco-based New Century Chamber Orchestra, as well as being a sought-after soloist, chamber performer and recording artist. He was previously a member of the Beaux Arts Trio, and one of his early mentors was Yehudi Menuhin; when Hope was still very young, he and his parents moved to England, where his mother got a job as Menuhin's secretary. He's also currently the Music Director of the Zurich Chamber Orchestra. He's selected works from many corners of his musical interests.
